Steve Nevitt Owner

Ashlee Brackeen Owner

Steve Nevitt, owner of Louisiana Native Seed Company has been active in prairie restoration work for over 10 years. His ecological work began with the Cajun Prairie Habitat Preservation Society (CPHPS) while studying coastal ecology and geology at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is a past president of the CPHPS and is the current Prairie Manager for their restoration projects. His work mainly encompasses larger meadow/prairie and grassland plantings and restorations of about 1 acre in size or larger that occur at municipal properties, solar farms, commercial properties as well as farms, estates, and larger homesteads.

Ashlee Brackeen owns Swamp Fly Native Landscapes, specializing in ecological design with a focus on habitat restoration for residential, commercial, and public landscapes. She is an advocate for the protection, preservation, and sustainable management of Louisiana's natural plant and wildlife communities and serves on the board of the Acadiana Native Plant Project and the Louisiana Wildlife Federation. With experience as a landscape laborer and education in Landscape Architecture at LSU, she ensures the practicality, longevity, and successful implementation of landscape projects, resulting in thriving ecosystems rather than remaining as dreamy renderings that fail to succeed long-term.
